About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team for an exciting risk management project in partnership with a leading financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between business and IT for risk management.
• Understand trading systems and financial instruments.
• Analyse processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions.
• Use SQL for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Design and implement risk management tools.
• Write functional specifications and guide developers.
• Validate data and test risk management systems.

Required Skills

• 6+ years in technical business analysis (risk management/financial services).
• Strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments. (Options | Derivatives | Equities | Bonds | Etc)
• SQL proficiency for complex queries.
• Basic Python understanding and Jupyter Notebook experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Location: Belfast

Contract Length: 6-12 Months (Extension possible)
